Carmen Sandiego returns for Season 3 on Netflix

On October 1, 2020, the Dreamworks animated show, based on the franchise Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego, Carmen Sandiego (2019)'s third season released on Netflix. Seasons one and two of Carmen Sandiego aired on Netflix in January and October last year. There was even an interactive special called "Carmen Sandiego: To Steal or Not to Steal," airing earlier this year.

Carmen Sandiego returns in this five-episode third season, picking up from the cliffhanger of season two regarding the assassination of the titular character's father and her mother faking her death. This season also seems to be thematically themed to October as most of the five episodes feature masks or Holidays like Halloween or Día de Los Muertos. 

When season three's release date was announced earlier last month, Netflix released an official synopsis to go along with the announcement.

"Everybody asks “WHERE is Carmen Sandiego?”, but nobody asks “WHO is Carmen Sandiego?” The iconic woman in red returns for new international capers and a peek into her past. Featuring Gina Rodriguez as Carmen and Finn Wolfhard as Player."

On October 2, Netflix announced that Carmen Sandiego was renewed for a fourth season.
